Plenty of reels and floats on display, but I parted with my hard-earned for an Allcocks Handy Outfit Tin which will become home to my float rubbers.
I love the fact that it still bares the stain of a cigarette placed upon it by a previous owner in anticipation of the next bite.
I was well impressed to read the tin and the thought that went through my mind was " This is a can of worms" Its great to see a good tin that has stood the test of time and a ciggy haha, It will look great in the kit and full of float rubbers,

Our paths must have crossed Gurn! I was literally across the road from Spitalfields in one of the many buses during the para's. I wonder what the trawlerman style of drinking tea is? If it's slopping it around whilst carrying it then I've already mastered it! ;o) Good find mate.
ReplyDeleteI bet it rattles in your old Oxo tin mate :-)
ReplyDeleteWill be lining it with felt soon. Keep dodging them Himalayan balsam pods mate.
DeleteLining it with felt eh? You old copy cat :-)
