Most cane rod manufacturers suggest that the best way to store them is by suspension in their bags, thinner end uppermost. I have purchased one of those over the door multi-clothes hooks which seems to do the job grandly. As this door is usually kept open the rods are tucked out of sight, nice and tidy. I know it isn't rocket science but thought I'd share.
Another good method is to use a spice rack. It does mean fixing the strip of pegs to the door though...

I often find myself looking at items in other peoples homes, thinking "I would hang a rod off of that.":-)
DeleteDave, I received both your comments, but foolishly deleted them in error and there doesn't seem to be any way of retrieving them. I'm pretty sure that a rod rod stand would be fine mate. Many use them. I'm a bit clumsy though so fear I'd knock one over. Pity really, I've got a couple knocking around upstairs at work, though they do have FOX printed on them :-)
ReplyDeleteNot to worry mate, I rarely talk sense anyway :o)
ReplyDeleteBut I really must sort out a stand or hanger soon.
Indeed mate, your collection has grown rapidly this year. How do you like your Lucky Strike? Best rod I own.
DeleteI love it! But my New Superb is a diamond and is going to get used a lot ;o) Roll on a change in this crappy weather.
ReplyDeleteNew Superb eh? There ain't many of them about mate and I bet it is a diamond too, lucky sod.Soon be summer fella, I will never complain about it being too hot again:-)
